LEHRERTREFFEN IN Kromeriz VOM 23.01 – 27.01.2023
Vom 23. – 27. Januar besuchten 13 Lehrer aus vier Partnerschulen aus Großbritannien, Süditalien, Lettland und Deutschland zum ersten Mal die Partnerschule in Kromeriz. Gemeinsam wurde am Erasmus+-Projekt „Schatzkiste Europas“ gearbeitet.
Day 1
On 23rd of January, everyone arrived in Kroměříž. We had the chance to experience a beautiful evening in the so-called Athens of Haná.
Day 2
In the morning we met at school. After a short reception and a speech by the director, we toured the school and took a peak inside an IT class. Then we went to the assembly hall, where we were greeted by the school choir led by Mrs. Motalová. We also got to sing alongside with them!
In the afternoon we were shown around the city. The students, acting as tour guides, did a great job talking about the monuments of Kroměříž and its history. Then, in the evening, we had a dinner together.

Day 3
On Wednesday we went on a trip. First, we visited sv. Hostýn, where we saw the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the world-famous Stations of the cross by Dušan Jurkovič. We followed in Jurkovič’s steps and travelled to Luhačovice, where Jurkovič did his most famous architectural works. We had a lunch and then headed to Zlín to the Shoe museum.
Wallfahrtskirche Svatý Hostýn
Svatý Hostýn is a significant pilgrimage site located in the Czech Republic. Perched atop a hill in the White Carpathians, it attracts numerous visitors each year. Svatý Hostýn ist ein bedeutender Wallfahrtsort in der Tschechischen Republik. Auf einem Hügel in den Weißen Karpaten gelegen, zieht er jedes Jahr zahlreiche Besucher an. Die Hauptattraktion ist die Basilika der Himmelfahrt der Jungfrau Maria, ein exquisites barockes Meisterwerk, das mit atemberaubenden Kunstwerken und Skulpturen geschmückt ist. Kurort Luhačovice

Day 4
After meeting at school, we went to visit the Kroměříž museum. We were amazed by all the exhibitions there, mainly the underground corridors. Then we toured the Flower garden and were amazed by the baroque Rotunda, the Colonade and all the little ponds, which were recently reconstructed. Then, after lunch, we tasted the best and most unique Moravian vines at a vine-tasting shop.
The Kroměříž Castle
The Kroměříž Castle (Czech: Zámek Kroměříž or Arcibiskupský zámek) is a castle in Kroměříž in the Czech Republic. It used to be the principal residence of the bishops and (from 1777) archbishops of Olomouc. UNESCO listed the gardens and castle as a World Heritage Site in 1998 because of its exceptionally well-preserved and outstanding Baroque gardens.
Interiors of the palace were extensively used by Miloš Forman as a stand-in for Vienna’s Hofburg Imperial Palace during filming of Amadeus (1984), based on the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who actually never visited Kroměříž, although some of his compositions are stored in the music archive of the castle.
Das Schloss Kroměříž (deutsch Kremsier, Tschechisch: Zámek Kroměříž or Arcibiskupský zámek) befindet sich in Kroměříž in Tschechien und ist heute in Staatsbesitz. Es wurde zusammen mit dem Schlosspark und dem Blumengarten im Jahre 1998 in die UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen.
Die Innenräume des Schlosses wurden von Miloš Forman ausgiebig als Ersatz für die Wiener Hofburg während der Dreharbeiten zu „Amadeus“ (1984) genutzt, basierend auf dem Leben von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, der Kroměříž eigentlich nie besuchte, obwohl einige seiner Kompositionen aufbewahrt werden im Musikarchiv des Schlosses.

On the last day, everyone departed from Kroměříž and got safely home.
